Finished my first project since going Freelance (yes, you to can hire me for freelance projects). Green Energy Solutions is a UAE based Building Services company that specialises in ecological ventilation and lighting systems. The site is based on a grid made up of Fibernachi numbers, thank you Andy Clarke. I am genuinely quite happy with the end result but a couple of things would have helped it a bit, like universal support for box-shadow from new browers, but hey ho …
Went to one of Andy Clarke's Web design master classes yesterday, http://forabeautifulweb.com/classes. learnt more in one day about web design than I have over my entire 3 or so years of doing it. Also the lunch time speaker was Brendan Dawes of Magnetic North that man is true inspiration and all round nice chap.
I (Sacha Harmsworth) just finished work on a project for The Illustrated Encyclopaedia of ARABIA. This the first time I have seriously had a go a using a grid system, as the site is supposed to look quite handmade and like an old note book, it needed a grid to give it a solid background structure.
We are back after a bit of a spring clean, new design and cleaner coding, we also have some new work coming soon. In the meantime Sacha Harmsworth's Student video of Bjork's Hidden place is finally up on YouTube
