While working at RadioCentre as their in-house web designer I got the great opportunity to redesign the RadioCentre website. The old site had been put together very quickly before the RadioCentre was formed in 2006 and it really needed a refresh.

I got the chance to give the site a fresh look, streamline the navigation and most importantly make it more web standards compliant (XHTML and CSS).

It was a big project, not only redesigning the user experience, but over 150 pages needed inline code stripping out and semantic mark up putting in.

While designing the site I felt it needed a very subtle addition of the logo red to tie it in with the new more muted colours I had used for the navigation and drop-downs.

I found Dan Cederholm's lovely little Chameleon icons and noticed that you could choose your own customised hex colours for the icon set, they worked perfectly just to sprinkle the red about the page without having to do something cheesy like have all the links in bright red.
